“East Court” is an homage to the game of Court Tennis also known as Real Tennis, a sport that dates from the 14th century. First played by monks in monasteries in France, the game went on to become the sport of Kings as courts were built at Versailles and Fontainebleau in France and Hampton Court in England. Of the 50 or so courts in the world, the “East Court” is certainly one of the most famous.
